M.L. Rio has been an actor, a bookseller, an academic, and a music writer. She holds an MA in Shakespeare studies and a PhD in English literature. She is the author of the internationally bestselling novel If We Were Villains, the USA TODAY bestselling novella Graveyard Shift, and Hot Wax. She never stays in one place for long, but keeps her books, records, and four-legged sidekick in south Philadelphia.

Amy Fairchild is a Boston-based songwriter and recording artist whose songs have won honors from Lilith Fair, the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, and the Billboard World Song Competition. According to music critic Dave Marsh, Amy's 2002 breakthrough, Mr. Heart (produced by Adam Steinberg), should have been a major-label hit. Amy followed with a self-titled 2014 album praised by the late Steve Morse, co-founded the Americana group MIRIAM with Carla Ryder in 2011, and reunited with Steinberg for 2017's Nobody's Satellite, about which Mike Greenblatt from Goldmine says, “If this stone-cold roots-pop beauty doesn't catch on, it's everyone's fault…not hers. This is universal heartland Americana that should resonate profoundly to anyone with an ear." At Earfull, Amy is joined by guitarist Thomas Juliano, a longtime sideman on the Boston music scene who also teaches guitar at UMass Lowell.

Wally Lamb is the award-winning author of seven New York Times bestselling novels:  She’s Come Undone, I Know This Much is True, The Hour I First Believed, Wishin’ & Hopin’, We Are Water, I’ll Take You There, and, most recently, The River is Waiting. Lamb also edited Couldn’t Keep It to Myself, I’ll Fly Away, and You Don’t Know Me, three volumes of essays from students in his writing workshop at York Correctional Institution, a women’s prison in Connecticut, where he was a volunteer facilitator for 20 years. Three of Lamb’s novels were featured as Oprah’s Book Club selections. Lamb and his wife, Christine, live in New York City and in northeastern Connecticut.  They are the parents of three sons and have five grandchildren.

His solo albums—including the acclaimed Sunset Engine—showcase his gift for evocative songwriting, memorable melodies, and quietly incisive storytelling.

Russ Gershon - Multi-instrumentalist, composer, bandleader, educator, and Grammy-nominated founder of the Either/Orchestra, he has performed with artists ranging from Cab Calloway and the Four Tops to Mark Sandman, John Medeski, Mahmoud Ahmed, and Mulatu Astatke.

Rick McLaughlin - Bassist, composer, and educator, Rick has anchored Either/Orchestra for over 25 years while performing internationally with artists including Danilo Pérez, John Zorn, Mulatu Astatke, Grace Kelly, and Felipe Salles. His recording projects include the acclaimed Study of Light and a co-produced album with drummer Bob Moses. He is Professor of Harmony and Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music.

Jerome Deupree - Drummer who has been a driving force in adventurous rock and jazz scenes for over four decades. A longtime member of Boston's Either/Orchestra, he is perhaps best known as a founding drummer for Morphine, playing on the band's landmark debut Good and contributing to Cure for Pain.
