Previous events
Our second free EARFULL MINI show at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, we host author Tom Perrotta and musician Dennis Brennan.
Tom Perrotta is the bestselling author of nine works of fiction, including Election and Little Children, both of which were made into Oscar-nominated films, and The Leftovers, which was adapted into a critically acclaimed, Peabody Award-winning HBO series. His other books include Bad Haircut, The Wishbones, Joe College, The Abstinence Teacher, Nine Inches, Mrs. Fletcher, and his newest, Tracy Flick Can't Win. His work has been translated into a multitude of languages. Perrotta grew up in New Jersey and lives outside of Boston.
Many people consider the roots-rock, singer/songwriting Dennis Brennan to be Boston's own Leonard Cohen or Elvis Costello. He was a featured member of many of Boston’s best bands throughout the ‘90’s and ‘00s, including the Martells, Push Push, and Young Neal and the Vipers. A prolific songwriter in his own right, you can hear his beautiful songs about life's hardships on the Rounder records Jack in the Pulpit and Iodine in the Wine, where he’s supported by two of Boston’s best: Duke Levine and Billy Conway. Always a dynamic and versatile performer and singer, Dennis is known for his exciting bands that range from classic country and R&B to jazz, rock, and blues.
